NEW DELHI: In the recent flurry of image leaks of the upcoming next-generation iPhone, the latest shows the front casing of the hotly anticipated device. The image, posted by a Chinese blog called Apple.pro, shows there is not much difference between front-view of the existing iPhone 4S and the purported iPhone 5except for an evidently larger screen......

The picture showing the front casing of theupcoming iPhone 5 indicates that the video calling camera for FaceTime will be placed in the centre now, above the speaker grill. This image suggests that the larger screen will have aspect ratio of 16:9 in landscape mode. The previous iterations of the iconic phone from Apple have been bestowed with a relatively square aspect ratio. From the image, it can be said that the new phone will have a 4-inch screen (possibly measured corner-to-corner).

As the days to iPhone 5's speculated launch near, the internet media is buzzing with rumours and leaked images of the upcoming device.

On specs front, the latest iteration of iPhone is expected to feature a larger screen size, quad core processor, NFC capabilities, Liquidmetal design and repositioned headphone jack, among others.

Last week, a news report pegged the launch date of iPhone 5 as August 7, 2012. The website made the claim citing "a reliable industry source".

Images of the rear casing with a host of modifications, in line with the rumours, have also surfaced in the recent past.
