Believe it or not, the family of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has lost a whopping Rs 14 lakh crore within one day, if one were to go by the statistics provided by the Telugu Desam Party the other day.
A couple of days ago, the TDP leaders released a poster and also a booklet listing out the assets of Jagan and his family members besides his benamis.
According to this list, Jagan, his family members and his benamis had huge immovable assets to the extent of over 2.75 lakh acres and the total income they would be getting over a span of 10 years would be around a massive Rs 16.63 lakh crore. Interestingly, the TDP leaders mentioned that out of this total amount, Rs 14.40 lakh crore would be made only out of Bayyaram iron ore mines in Khammam district through Rakshana Steels, allegedly owned by Jagan’s brother-in-law Anil Kumar.
However, on Monday, the Kiran Kumar Reddy government, with just a stroke of pen, ordered cancellation of the agreement with Rakshana Steels on Bayyaram iron ore mining. Now, the project has gone out of the hands of Jagan’s family, if at all it is true. It does mean Jagan’s family has the lost the opportunity to make Rs 14.40 lakh crore in a single day.
Now, going by the TDP statistics, the Jagan’s family is worth only Rs 2 lakh crore over a period of time. There are other projects in the pipeline for cancellation, like VANPIC and if it happens, the value of Jagan family assets will further go down. Will the TDP revise its statistical jugglery?
లీటరు పెట్రోలుకు పది కాదు, ఇరవై కాదు ఏకంగా 240 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరం ప్రయాణించే కారును బెంగళూరుకు చెందిన నలుగురు ఇంజనీరింగ్ విద్యార్థులు తయారు చేశారు. ప్రస్తుతం ప్రోటోటైప్ దశలో ఉన్న ఈ కారును త్వరలోనే పూర్తి స్థాయిలో అభివృద్ధి చేసి మార్కెట్‌లోకి విడుదల చేస్తామని ఆ విద్యార్థులు తెలిపారు. స్థానిక విశ్వేశ్వరయ్య టెక్నికల్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో ఇంజనీరింగ్ చదువుతున్న నలుగురు విద్యార్థులు ‘టీం ఇన్‌ఫర్నో’ బృందంగా ఏర్పడ్డారు. వీరు తమ ప్రాజెక్ట్‌లో భాగంగా తయారు చేసిన కారుకు ‘ద్రోణ’ అని పేరుపెట్టారు. టీం ఇన్‌ఫర్నో బృందం సభ్యుడు అవినాష్ హెగ్డే సోమవారం మీడియాతో మాట్లాడుతూ... ‘ద్రోణ తయారీకి ఇప్పటివరకు రూ.2.5 లక్షలు ఖర్చయింది. ఈ కారు గంటకు గరిష్టంగా 60 కిలోమీటర్ల వేగంతో కేవలం లీటరు పెట్రోల్‌పై 240 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరం ప్రయాణిస్తుంది’ అని వివరించారు. కాగా, జూలై 4 నుంచి 7వ తేదీ వరకూ మలేసియా రాజధాని కౌలాలంపూర్‌లో జరిగే ‘సపాంగ్ అంతర్జాతీయ కార్ రేసింగ్ మారథాన్’లో ఈ ద్రోణ కూడా దూసుకుపోనుంది. మన దేశం నుంచి ఇలా తయారైన 12 కార్లు కార్ రేసింగ్ మారథాన్‌లో పాల్గొంటాయి.
ఎలక్ట్రానికి ఓటింగ్ మెషీన్ (ఈవీఎం)ల విషయంలో ఎలాంటి అనుమానాలకు తావు లేదని కేంద్ర ఎన్నికల సంఘం నూతన ప్రధాన ఎన్నికల కమిషనర్ (సీఈసీ) వీఎస్ సంపత్ స్పష్టం చేశారు. ఈవీఎంల ద్వారా అవకతవకలకు అవకాశం ఉందన్న వాదనను ఇంతవరకు ఎవరూ నిరూపించలేకపోయారని చెప్పారు. కేంద్ర ఎన్నికల సంఘం 18వ ప్రధాన ఎన్నికల కమిషనర్‌గా సంపత్ సోమవారం బాధ్యతలు చేపట్టారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ‘సాక్షి’కి ప్రత్యేక ఇంటర్వ్యూ ఇచ్చారు. తప్పుల్లేని ఓటర్ల జాబితా తయారీకి తొలి ప్రాధాన్యం ఇస్తామని, స్వేచ్ఛాయుత వాతావరణంలో ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ ఓటు హక్కును వినియోగించుకునే విధంగా చర్యలు చేపడతామని ఆయన చెప్పారు.
