Now that the Presidential elections are over and the Sharad Pawar issue has been more or less settled, Congress party president Sonia Gandhi has returned to her focus on setting the house right in Andhra Pradesh.....
According to reports from New Delhi, Sonia had called AICC incharge of Andhra affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad for a closed door meeting to discuss the party affairs in the state and chalk out a blueprint to bring about major changes in the party and the government. At the same time, governor E S L Narasimhan also got a call from Delhi to get the briefing on the state of affairs in Andhra.
Sources said chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy also would be summoned shortly to New Delhi to discuss the party reshuffle. However, since all the Telangana MPs are already in New Delhi and are expected to have a meeting with home minister P Chidambaram in the evening, there is a talk that the Congress high command might be working a solution for the Telangana statehood.
