Due to a leak from congress sources few stories are coming in news sections. Apparently, CBI JD Lakshminarayana is in AP from 2006 incharge of this profile. Though his deputation term is complete, he is still continuing his job here. With minister Dharmana Prasad Rao being named in the latest charge-sheet, it looks like this is not going to end so soon.
What started with Jagan’s illegal assets case is slowly tightening the noose around other congress leaders and this is worrying them. So now they have started talking against CBI and are demanding that Lakshminarayana should be transferred and applying pressure. In the past when the liquor mafia issue came up the congressmen pressurised and transferred Bhupathi Babu.
But now Lakshminarayana has been damaging the congress reputation so they are asking why he is not being changed. With this, news is that high command has bent down a little and is ready to transfer him. Usually when an official works even after deputation term is completed, he is bound to face criticism.
Similarly Congress high command, central government approach also would be doubted. So, with his transfer, Lakshminarayana will be out of a major headache. But the other version is that unless Jagan’s case is complete he may not be moved. Only time will tell how this will shape up.
