No action against CBI JD for media leaks!

It has been clearly proved by now that even the judiciary is going soft towards high profile joint director of Central Bureau of Investigation V V Lakshminarayana, who has been adopting aggressive approach towards YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in the alleged illegal assets case.
The CBI top cop got a reprieve from the high court in connection with a public interest litigation petition filed against him by one Bhushan Bhavanam from Guntur who questioned the propriety of the official in leaking information to a section of media on the ongoing investigation against Jaganmohan Reddy flouting the CBI manual.
The high court, which admitted the petition on July 2, gave an initial impression that it had taken the petition seriously. It pulled up Lakshminarayana for talking to the media so many times and sought an explanation from him within a week. But on Monday, the court completely ignored its own reprimand and dismissed the petition saying it had no merit to be treated as PIL.
What is worse, the high court imposed a penalty of Rs 25,000 on the petitioner for misleading the court. And surprisingly, it made no mention of why Lakshminarayana had to talk to the media!
