Contrary to the expectations, the Enforcement Directorate on Saturday did not begin the interrogation of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy who is presently in the Chanchalguda jail in connection with the money laundering and foreign exchange violation case.....
The ED authorities got the permission from the CBI special court to question him for 14 days, starting from July 7 to 21, between 10 am to 5 pm within the jail in the presence of his lawyers. However, they did not start the interrogation till evening; all that they did was to serve notices on Jagan stating that he should answer the questions to be posed by them during interrogation.
Sources said the ED authorities would begin the questioning from Monday; which means they have lost two precious days in their investigation. May be they did not have enough evidences on hand to nail Jagan.
However, more than anybody else, it might have caused a lot of disappointment to Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy dailies as they have carried big banner stories on Saturday stating that Jagan is feeling the ED heat. They have now lost a big opportunity to continue the banner headlines for the next two days!
