Larger-than-life-entertainment is an oft-repeated phrase used to describe Tollywood pot boilers. This movie makes mince meat of the cliche by showing that small can be big too. Come to think of it very few things can get bigger than a housefly on 70mm, but what's fascinating is that the movie shows a computer-generated-housefly can have pretty much the same effect on the audiences as a rippling superstar. Hair-raising entertainment, jaw dropping, mind-bending thrill-a-second ride of the season, probably the decade, Eega is a game changer.

Dialogues are crisp, the cinematography slick and the editing is pretty neat as well. The background score is the stand-out though. MM Keeravani just seems to reserve his best for his kid brother. This album must be one of his finest. Visual Effects are just the best ever for a Telugu film, both in terms of originality and quality of output. The film has over 90 minutes of never-before-seen-visual effects that just blow the audiences away.

Deccan: The winner is a fly on the wall

First things first, kudos to ace director S.S. Rajamouli for trying to make a film with an animated creature and raising the bar of Telugu cinema a few notches up.

The next big challenge that the director overcomes is the transformation of a harmless creature from being merely an irritating buzzer around the ears into a smart, life-threatening fly which sends shivers down the spine of baddie Sudeep with ease.

What also works in favour of this path-breaking film is a fast and racy screenplay that makes this unusual conflict between a ruthless villain and the avenging fly watchable fare.

Considering the creature in the film is tiny and almost invisible, a 3D version could have had a better effect.

Director Rajamouli holds on to his numero uno position in T-town with another novel idea by thinking ‘out-of-the-box’, an approach that could work if colleagues took a leaf out of his diary.

Sudeep (Sudeep) is a billionaire and women are his weakness. He always goes down the 'wrong' paths to achieve his goals in life.

Naani (Naani) is in love with Bindu (Samantha), a sculptor. Bindu loves Naani but doesn't reveal her feelings for him.

Sudeep happens to meet Bindu and falls in love with her. But when he gets to know about her feelings for Nani, Sudeep kills him in a fit of rage.

Just before his death, Naani comes to know about Bindu's feelings for him. And he is then reborn as an Eega (housefly) - and so begins a tale of revenge.

Naani had a very limited screen presence, but he proved that he is a talented actor. Glamour girl Samantha has performed well too.

But it is Sudeep, who walks away with all the applauds. He is excellent in the movie and makes the anti-hero turn into a hero in this film.

Last but not the least, hats off to director SS Rajamouli. Eega is a must-watch.

After the phenomenal success of his previous movies, director S.S. Rajamouli once again comes up with an exceptionally innovative and technically brilliant film like "Eega".

The film is about a reincarnated housefly (computer generated in the film) taking revenge from his cold-blooded murderer.

With the use of state-of-the-art technology in animation and computer graphics, Rajamouli creates a new benchmark for the Indian film industry. Kannada actor Sudeep also comes out with flying colours with his role as an antagonist. The film will also release in 3D version towards the end of the year.

The story is old, but the execution is new and fresh. "Eega" is by far the most brilliant animation and graphics film. The hardwork put in by the entire team is clearly visible onscreen. In addition to that, Keervani's music gels well with the film's narrative.

There are small mistakes, but they can be easily overlooked. It was a challenge for an actor like Sudeep, who is a well-known name in the Kannada film industry, but thankfully the risk proves to be beneficial for him.

He proves he is a matchless performer and is one of the finest actors in the Indian film industry.

The film was equally challenging for an actor like Naani, who agreed to be a part of it even after knowing that he would be there for just the first 20 minutes of the movie.

Samantha is cute and vulnerable. Her subtle expressions of love, fear and anxiety work well for the film. All the other artists have also delivered exceptional performances.
