It is rather surprising that different people get different justice in various cases being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Those who were accused in much bigger scams such Adarsh Housing scam, 2G Spectrum scam and Commonwealth Games scam could get bail easily because the CBI did not oppose bail in those cases, industrialists, IAS officers and politicians in Andhra Pradesh are languishing in the jail for months together thought the magnitude of the case is much less compared to the above scams......
Take for instance the case of industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad, popularly known as Matrix Prasad. He has the track record of being a successful industrialist turning around quite a few sick units into profitable ventures. He is also a great philanthropist. This man has been in jail for nearly three months and his only crime was to invest money in the business ventures of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Whether he has done it legally or illegally is a matter which has to be definitely probed, but he has the right to get the bail. One wonders why the CBI has been opposing his bail petition strongly. Even on Monday, poor Nimmagadda was denied bail once again by the CBI special court only because of stiff resistance from the CBI. For outsiders, it appears to be a gross injustice to a person who brought a lot of name to the state.
