In a gruesome killing a father had killed his own daughter aged seven and physically-challenged. He had committed the sin right in front of the mother who bore the child and her four sisters at Singhawala village near the Ambala Cantonment Area, on Sunday morning.
Neel Pal the fifty year old accused, was a father of five daughters, had surrendered to the police at his house. The deceased daughter Rajni was in a pool of her own blood after the merciless father slit her throat with a sword.
Sardar police had immediately arrested the father who worked as a carpenter booking him for murder. Harjeet Kaur, the mother, said that Pal had lost mental stability after Rajni's birth as a disabled girl. She told the police that he returned home at 9 am wielding a sword in his hands. In moments time he had taken Rajni to another room while the four other sisters tried to stop him unsuccessfully, he had executed the child slitting her throat.
Pal had confessed his crime with no remorse exhibited on his face, the DSP Purnima Singh said.

Sukhwinder Singh, a relative said that Pal was being tormented by financial troubles and that he also believed in several superstitions.
