Perhaps one of the most promising individuals who turned out to be a damp squib in the field of politics of Lok Satta’s founder Jayaprakash Narayana. This former IAS officer who shunned his job with a promise of reforming the society and bringing about change has not been able to prove his mettle.
Now, it is heard that JP has gone into deep depression. Apparently, if he stands for elections in 2014 it is guarantee that he is gone. His area Kukatpally has gone from bad to worse in terms of maintenance. Government is not releasing funds for that area. The locals are thinking that at least if a congress man was elected some neatness would have been there.
They are lamenting that they elected JP unnecessarily and feel that except giving speech nothing useful can come from him. At this juncture, JP is in such a state that he can’t merge his Lok Satta party. Due to image he cannot maintain himself. He has left IAS. Amidst all this, how his financial condition will be in the future is the cause for his depression.
