Jagan Party MLAs Just Can't Relax!

The newly-elected MLAs of YSR Congress party might be on cloud nine for winning their seats again, but the message from party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to them is loud and clear: they just cannot relax and get carried away by the people’s mandate.

Jagan is learnt to have told them when they met him in batches in Chanchalguda jail that they should work hard and be among the people always, rather than staying back in Hyderabad and concentrating on making money for the next elections.
“You have to be always among the people taking up their issues in a big way, so that the people would feel that you are one among them. Otherwise, they might not vote for you in the next elections, if you ignore them. The sympathy factor might have worked this time; but it may not be possible every time,” he warned them.
As a result, many of the YSR Congress party MLAs have been participating in one programme or the other in their respective constituencies to highlight the people’s issues.
For example, Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy has been constantly in touch with the local people, fighting for their burning issues. On Monday, Bhumana held a huge rally in Tirupati with a large number of women in front of the Tirupati municipal corporation demanding release of Rs 450 crore for providing drinking water facilities for the people. Earlier, he staged an indefinite fast for closure of liquor shops in the town. The same tactics is being adopted by the YSR Congress party MLAs everywhere.
