YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy will emerge as a king in the Andhra Pradesh politics. At the same time, he will play the role of kingmaker in New Delhi after the 2014 general elections.
This was stated by YSR Congress party leader Gone Prakash Rao. Describing the rumour of the YSRCP merger with the Congress, Gone said the campaign was being orchestrated by the Telugu Desam Party to get the political mileage.
“Our leader Y S Vijayalakshmi has never said YSRCP would be merged with the Congress. The TDP was trying to cash in on a distorted media report,” he said.
Referring to Congress MP Chiranjeevi’s comment on the corruption in politics, Gone said Chiranjeevi had no moral right to talk about corruption. “He has to explain why he is paying income tax in Chennai. He was sold out to the Congress party,” the YSRCP leader said.
He threw a challenge at Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao stating that the latter should prove his popularity by winning at least one direct election.
“It is ridiculous on the part of VH, who cannot win even a single seat, to say that he would save the Congress party,” Gone said.
