Maverick former minister and Secunderabad Cantonment MLA P Shankar Rao once again spit fire at his rival home minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy, alleging that she was protecting the ganja smugglers.
Shankar Rao told the media that he had written letters to the Central Bureau of Investigation and Central Vigilance Commission to conduct probe into the alleged nexus between East Godavari Superintendent of Police Trivikram Varma and ganja smugglers. He alleged that Additional SP Naveen Kumar was suspended only because he had exposed this nexus.
“The home minister has taken bribes from the SP and made the ASP a scapegoat in the ganja smuggling case. It is unfortunate that the minister is shielding the criminal-minded police officials,” he said and demanded that the SP be suspended immediately.
