Till a couple of years ago, senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member K V P Ramachandra Rao had been the advisor of the Congress party. KVP continued to remain the advisor of the Congress government even after the death of his bosom friend Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
Now, there are no official advisors for the ruling Congress party. But according to YSR Congress party leaders, there is no need for any separate advisors, as Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu himself has been acting as unofficial advisor to the Congress.
“He has completely forgotten the responsibilities of an opposition leader. He is meeting the Congress party leaders secretly in New Delhi and is giving them advices. He has become the latest and biggest advisor for the Congress party,” YSR Congress party legislators D Krishna Das, A Amarnath Reddy and G Srikanth Reddy said.
They said the YSR Congress party would never be merged with the Congress party.
“On the other hand, Naidu himself would merge his TDP with the Congress. It is going to happen soon,” they asserted.
