Strengthen party at least now : Sonia tells KKR


New Delhi : Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has met Congress president Sonia Gandhi along with PCC Chief Botcha Satyanarayana.Though the Chief Minister and the PCC Chief have been asked to come to New Delhi in connection with the ensuing Presidential elections, the two leaders, who had spent nearly 45 minutes with Sonia Gandhi in the presence of her political advisor Ahmed Patel, they had reportedly submitted a report on the recent poll results. They have explained the circumstances, including the sympathy wave generated by the CBI arresting the YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and the tour of his mother Vijayamma and sister Sharmila. 

Sonia is believed to have advised both to at least concentrate on strengthening the party and gear up for the 2014 elections. She also reportedly advised them to check exodus of party men to the YSR Congress party. Take every one along and prepare a cogent unit that would win the 2014 elections, she is believed to have told the two leaders.The two leaders have signed the proposal for the candidature of Pranab Mukherjee for the post of President. Kiran Kumar Reddly also had a meeting with Pranab Mukherjee later in the evening and congratulated him. He also met AICC general secretary and State party in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad.
