Kiran launches media management

One does not know whether Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has started any attempt to launch a media house exclusively for the Congress party, but he seems to have begun the media management techniques to garner publicity for him and his government.
For the last few days, the Chief Minister is getting extensive publicity for his “Indiramma Baata” and other programmes in the television channels. Except Sakshi, the media house owned by YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, most of the channels have been giving wide coverage to Kiran Kumar Reddy and his government. The popular TV channel TV9 conducted “Encounter with CM” programme to project his achievements.
Interestingly, the Information and Publicity department has suddenly become active. For the first time in the last two years, the department officials have taken state-level reporters from Hyderabad on a four-day tour to Srikakulam to cover Kiran’s Indiramma Baata, providing them all the “facilities” and comforts. Even national media reporters were contacted for covering the programme. And the channels have been requested to do “exclusive” interviews with the Chief Minister, while he is traveling in the bus to visit villages, a practice which was in vogue during the Chandababu Naidu regime. One has to wait and see whether such gimmicks would work out for the CM or not.
