“We continue to be the followers of Chiranjeevi despite the fact that the Praja Rajyam Party has been merged with the Congress. He is our only leader and he has all the abilities to become the Chief Minister. If not now, he will become the CM in 2014. The Congress high command will fulfill our desire,” Ramesh said to the media in Gudur in Nellore district.
Of late, Chiranjeevi’s camp has been making aggressive statements to pre-empt the attempts of some Congress leaders to blame him for the party’s debacle in the recent by-elections. The megastar himself has led the attack on these leaders saying the party had lost because they were mentally prepared for losing power in 2014.
“Let them give me a chance to lead; I will show how to run the government,” he said.
