Congress president Sonia Gandhi had already obtained separate reports from Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana, besides Intelligence department and also Governor E S L Narasimhan on the causes for the party’s loss in the elections. The Governor met Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi on Tuesday and briefed about the developments in the state.
Sources in New Delhi said the Congress president might take up change of guard in the government and the party soon after the Presidential elections and might announce a road map for bifurcation of the state, irrespective of the opinions of the political parties in the state.
“At present, she is eliciting views from all senior leaders from the party. She will come out with a surprising announcement soon,” sources said.
