Kiran Should Apologise On Jagan Case

YSR Congress party on Thursday demanded an unconditional apology from the Kiran Kumar Reddy government for not filing an affidavit in the High Court stating that there were no irregularities in the issuance of the contentious 26 GOs......

“When the CBI informed the high court that there was a quid pro quo deal in the issuance of the GOs, the state government did not file any counter. Now when the ministers are in trouble, the Chief Minister is extending legal help to them to defend their case on issuance of the GOs. He should tender an unconditional apology,” YSR Congress party spokesman Jupudi Prabhakar Rao said.
Appointing a legal advisor to the ministers who were slapped notices by the Supreme Court suggests that the government was defending the GOs and there was no case of quid pro quo.
“If this is the stand of the state, why has it allowed the CBI to harass YS Jaganmohan Reddy, his family members and associates for the past one year?” he asked.
“As we cannot undo the damage done to YSR family, the ruling Congress and opposition TDP should speak out clearly. If the government tries to own up the GOs, there is no quid pro quo case and when there is no case, Jagan and his family had suffered for no reason and someone in the government should take responsibility for the entire episode,” he said.
