TRS mum on Rayala Telangana talk!

At a time when the proposal for Rayala Telangana as a solution to the vexed Telangana statehood issue has created ripples in the political circles, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi has maintained unusual silence on the same....

While Telangana Joint Action Committee has outrightly rejected the Rayala Telangana proposal and even called for agitations against the proposal, there was not a single word from the TRS top leaders, though a couple of them expressed their views on television channel debates. So far, there is no official word from TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao or his son Rama Rao or nephew T Harish Rao against the proposal.
This has given rise to the suspicion that the Congress party might have discussed the proposal with the TRS president to find a solution to the problem. It may be mentioned that during the Sakala Janula Samme in September last, KCR himself came out with the Rayala Telangana proposal with merger of part of Rayalaseema including Kurnool and Anantapur districts with Telangana, leaving Kadapa and Chittoor districts to the Andhra region. He even explained to the media how these two districts were culturally and geographically related to Telangana. Subsequently, he did not talk about it. May be, the Congress has picked up this idea now.
