Hyderabad : On the directions of the court, CBI has hurriedly brought bulletproof Scorpio vehicle and shifted the YSR Congress chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to the Chanchalguda jail after the court has extended his judicial remand till June 25.Jagan was brought to the court in an ordinary van (mini bus) which the police generally use to bring pickpockets and petty thieves. After Jagan strongly protested against this treatment despite his being a MP and president of a party, CBI judge has issued notices to the agency to explain by June 14 the reasons for not being able to provide a decent vehicle to him.
Earlier the court has permitted Jagan’s mother Vijayamma, wife Bharati and sister Sharmila to talk with him for half-an-hour in privacy.Several relatives have also come to the court to have a look at Jagan as they were not permitted anywhere near him after he was arrested. Some were seen shedding tears emotionally upset, at seeing him bring brought like a criminal to court. Jagan has also asked the CBI judge to provide him ‘Z’ category security.
Jagan’s lawyers have earlier explained to the media that Jagan was hitherto not allowed to speak to any one. When he was produced in the court, he had got an opportunity to tell his problems to the judge and he has utilized that opportunity. He has denied that it was an angry outburst by Jagan. Apart from Jagan, IAS officer and former vice chairman of VUDA Venkata Rami Reddy, Arabindo director Nityananda Reddy, Hetero Director Sarat ChandraReddy, Ramki chairman Ayodhya Rami Reddy and former IAS officer B P Acharya were also produced in the court on Monday.
